Goldendoodles

Goldendoodle puppies are an amazing breed.  They are so smart and easy to train.  They make great pets, therapy dogs, service dogs and just lovely companions.  They are one of America's favorite breeds.  With their joyful personalities and goofy anecdotes. they just seem to put a smile on everyone's face.

Colors vary with each and every litter.  So, it you're looking for a unique color it's just a matter of time before you will find it.  Our Colorado goldendoodle puppies vary in type.  We generally offer F1 (1/2 golden and 1/2 golden retriever) and F1b (F1 goldendoodle bred to a poodle). All of our breedings are standard in size and generally will weigh as an adult 45-65 lbs.  Life expectancy is 12-14 years.

Goldendoodles are typically a long-haired bred.  Their fur has become hair and will continue to grow.  The coats can considerably vary but mainly considered straight, wavy and curly.  Most commonly, our F1 pups have a combination of golden and poodle's coat which is generally considered wavy with loose and shaggy curls. Our f1b goldendoodles tend to have a curlier and thick coat which is lends itself more to the traits of a poodle.  The curlier they are, the more likely they will tend to shed less.  Although it is often claimed that goldendoodles are "hypoallergenic" or "nonshedding",   You will still find loss of hair just as we lose hair.  Grooming is necessary every 6-12 weeks depending on how much an owner brushes their goldendoodle.

We like to provide a great experience when coming out to Colorado's Finest and Kennel and Ranch.  Bring your children, friends and family members after scheduling an appointment with us and we will make sure to pick the right Colorado goldendoodle puppy for you.

Golden Retrievers

Golden Retrievers are one of the most popular breeds for a companion and considered the perfect pet.  They are known for a friendly and amazing temperament, eager to please attitude, devotion, and intelligence. Colorado Golden Retriever puppies are easy to train and love to play outside in sporting activities or a fun game of fetch.  They usually adapt well to most living situations as long as they are allowed to exercise outside to burn off some of their energy.

Colorado Golden Retrievers are a medium to large dog.  Average height is around 22 inches tall at the shoulder (females about 1 inch shorter). Males generally weigh up to 65-75 lbs while females are 5-10 lbs lighter.  Their coats are medium length, water repellant with a firm top coat (can be either straight or wavy), and feathering on legs, tail, tummy and chest.  An occasional white mark on the chest is common. Various shades of golden retrievers are seen...from a white or cream color to a very dark red color. Colorado Golden Retrievers have beautiful shades of gold fur that will require grooming to maintain that glorious coat.  Regular brushings and baths help to minimize loose hair.  Life expectancy for the Golden Retrievers is 10-12 years.  However, consistent exercise throughout a golden retriever's life can help to extend their life.

Labrador Retrievers

Labrador Retrievers are the most popular breed in the United States.  Contrary to the name, Labradors come from Newfoundland. Whether it's for and hunting and fishing dog or a family companion, Colorado Labrador puppies have the strength, energy, loyalty and loving and gentle temperaments. Colorado Lab Puppies loves to be around people as well as lots of exercise to burn off their energy!!! They are highly intelligent and easy to train, especially with their food motivation. Most labs will retrieve for hours and they make excellent swimmers.

Colorado Labs are a medium to large dog.  Generally, 22 1/2 -24 1/2 inches tall at the shoulder (females about 1 inch shorter). Males generally weigh up to 85-90 lbs while females are 5-15 lbs lighter.  Their coats are short and dense and come in 3 colors: yellow, black and brown (called chocolate).  Yellow color standards from AKC are variations of nearly white to a dark or reddish gold. Their coats are double layered and water resistant which is excellent for swimming and helps prevent icicles on their coats during the winter when retrieving.  They also have an otter tail which helps them turn in the water. Colorado lab puppies also have webbed feet which not only aids in swimming but acts a snowshoe and prevents snow from collecting between their toes in colder climates. Life expectancy for Lab is 10-12 years.  However, consistent exercise throughout a lab's life can prevent them from becoming overweight and can help to extend their life.

goldadors

Many times, I have people trying to decide between a golden retriever and a labrador retriever puppy.  So many great qualities to like about both breeds. In fact, golden retrievers and labs are two of the most popular dogs here in the USA.  Why choose between the 2?  You can have the best of both worlds and get a Colorado goldador puppy!!!

Goldadors are easy to train, have happy dispositions, intelligent, people pleasers and love everybody. The breed is extremely versatile in functions, whether a family pet, service or therapy dog, hunting buddy, police or bomb sniffing trained or search and rescue.  There isn't much this breed can't accomplish.

Colorado Goldador breeders are reporting weights generally in the 60-80 weight range.  Males tend to be towards the larger end of the range and females on the smaller.  Height at the shoulder is 20-23 inches.  The lifespan is a little broader standing at 10-15 years as some experts are reporting the mixed breeds tend to have less health issues.  Of course, diet and exercise is important in the breed and could improve the health and longevity of your dog.

When we send home our Colorado goldador puppies well socialized and ready to come to your home.

Also, it is quite a bonus that they have been completely vet checked from head to tail and have passed with flying color and current on vaccinations and wormings.  I have had so many customers over the years tell me "This is the best puppy I have ever owned."  Let us know if you have any additional questions about our amazing Colorado Goldador puppies.

I hope you will love this breed as much as I do.

bichons

Our Colorado bichon puppies are amazing...that is all I can say. It is generally known that Bichon Frises are merry, curious, and overall a jovial breed. The bichon or the bichon frise as formally termed, is known as the happy go lucky dog.  Their "love all" attitude is what everyone loves about this breed.

They are also incredibly smart and will easily pick up on new tricks.  Colorado bichons love to keep themselves busy, so a stash of fun play toys and chew toys are always a good idea to have around.  Colorado bichon puppies do well with family outings. They are social as AKC standards states the breed should be gentle in manners, sensitive, playful and affectionate. They are also incredibly smart and will easily pick up on new tricks.

Bichons are a small dog that generally weighs 10-20lbs and stand around 10-14 inches tall, but it is not unusual for them to be a little larger. Colorado bichon puppies are white in color and are a dense and curly coat.  There is very little shedding but will need to be groomed every 6-12 weeks depending on the effort the owner puts into daily brushes.  Some coats can have small amounts of cream, buff or apricot around the nose, ears, paws or body.

cavaliers

Cavaliers are one of the friendliest breeds and known for their gentle nature. They love their families and get along with kids, other dogs and cats.  They will welcome strangers as their new friend.  Cavaliers make excellent companions for empty nesters, senior citizens or anybody looking for a walking buddy.  Although Cavaliers were originally bred as companion dogs, they still have some of their hunting instincts.  Those inherent traits that follow the cavalier inherently lends to the ability to learn quickly and eager to please.  They make excel at sports like hunting, agility, obedience, therapy dogs and more.  If your cavalier has tendencies towards hunting, it would be a good idea not to let your them off leash when out for adventures. You never know when a small animal will catch their attention.

The sweet and gentle face with the large round eyes will melt your heart.  Cavaliers also have a silky coat in four different patterns and colors.

  • Blenheim - The most common coat color in the cavalier.  The primary color on their body is white with chestnut or ruby marking around the body and over the ears.  The muzzle is also typically white with a blaze up the forehead. Sometimes a "thumbprint" or "blot" of chestnut or ruby marks the middle of the forehead knowingly referred to as a "Blenheim Kiss”.

  • Tricolor - The second most common color of the cavalier is the Tricolor.  The term Tricolor describes the three colors throughout the entire body of the cavalier.  Usually white is the predominant color although black occasionally will be.  The cavalier will have ruby or tan patches mixed in with the black and have ruby-colored eyebrows.

  • Ruby - One of the uncommon colors is the ruby cavalier.  These dogs are a solid shade of ruby or chestnut across their entire body with some occasional flecks of white.

  • Black and Tan - The least common color of the cavaliers recognized by the AKC is the black and tan.  Generally, they have black heads, ears, bodies and tails.  Tan usually covers the tummies, legs, noses, chests and eyebrows.

A typical size of a cavalier is 12-15 inches high and weight of 12-20 lbs.  Since they are small and friendly dogs, they make excellent travel companions needing a quick walk or two a day to keep fit. They are easy to train with their eager to please mentality.  Life span is generally 12-15 years.

We do hope you enjoy this breed as much as we do.

Cavachon

cavachons

Cavachons are the best of both worlds...a cross between a Cavalier King Charles and a Bichon Frise.  Cavachons generally inherit both of their parent's characteristics. Both breeds are happy, gentle and incredibly affectionate. This makes a cavachon not only an amazing companion but also an unbelievable family pet.  An entire litter of cavachons will vary on looks depending on which characteristics they acquire from their parents.  Weight of cavachons generally reach between 12-30 lbs and height is 10-14 inches at the shoulder as an adult.

The coat in a cavachon puppy is super soft and luxurious to pet.  When the adult coat comes in the texture should be a slight bit courser but still very nice to touch.  The coat should be texturized as wavy, typical of a low sheddding and low allergy breed.  The coloring can vary from pure white to having various shades of the cavalier, black, brown, and red marking within the coat.  Brushing a few times a week and getting a haircut every couple of months will keep their coat is great shape.

The intelligence and eager to please attitude makes cavachons easy to train.  The cavachons are not a high energy breed making them ideal for senior citizens and those that have chosen apartment living.  Short training sessions should be the goal along with a little exercise will keep your dog in physical shape and mentally stimulated.  If you decide to take your dog for a walk everyday for their exercise, you will want to add extra time. Cavachons generally will add friends on walks.  They love everyone!

Check out the cavachons and perhaps this is a great breed for you.
